Celebrating Australia's top exporters

World class Australian exporters celebrated at 2023 Export Awards in Canberra.

On Thursday 30 November, finalists in this years’ Australian Export Awards (AEA) gathered to celebrate the achievements of extraordinary Australian organisations, and the far-reaching impacts they have on our nation’s communities and economy.

The 86 nominated finalists for the 61st Awards represent a diverse range of sectors and industries that have made significant contribution to the national economy, creating jobs and opportunities in our cities, regions and rural areas.

Representing Tasmania

Following the Tasmanian Export Awards, nine businesses represented the state at the national Awards.

Outstanding finalists from Tasmania at the Awards included:

  • Tassal Operations; Sustainability and Green Economy finalist
  • Geoneon; Emerging Exporter finalist

Congratulations to Scoot Boots for winning the e-Commerce category of the Awards. Scoot Boots was established in 2015, with a passion for the welfare of horses and the barefoot movement, creating the world's leading hoof boot in innovation, design and comfort.

Tasmanian Emerging Exporter 2023

Representing our own island state, Tasmanian AI entrepreneurs, Geoneon were nominated following their winning the TasPorts sponsored Emerging Exporter category at the 2023 Tasmanian Export Awards. This Award, sponsored annually by TasPorts, recognises the incredible dedication and innovation of the Geoneon team whose revolutionary approach is changing the landscape of climate risk assessment on a global scale.

Operating from the heart of Tasmania, Geoneon work at the intersection of climate resilience and technology. Having already made a significant impact in Australia and Asia,Geoneon is now commencing development of a subsidiary in Switzerland’s Canton of Vaud, a global hub for innovation.
