TasPorts proudly supports many organisations, events, and activities across Tasmania through financial and in-kind support. TasPorts actively seeks out relationships with organisations that align with TasPorts' key objectives and Core Values.

Current Community Engagement activities

Community and Industry Partnerships 

TasPorts is committed to preserving Tasmania's maritime history and supports the following historic vessels at Constitution Dock within the Port of Hobart;

 

Major Event Partnerships

Each year, TasPorts partners with iconic Tasmanian events and festivals, including;

  • Australian Wooden Boat Festival
  • Dark Mofo
  • Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race
  • Taste of Summer

Training and Education 

Port activities sustain hundreds of jobs across Tasmania. We partner with educational institutions to provide scholarships and bursaries to students pursuing a career in port-related disciplines.

Currently, we support the TasPorts Charles Black Memorial Scholarship at the Australian Maritime College and the University of Tasmania.

The Community Grant Program allows us to give back by supporting organisations, community groups and events that benefit communities surrounding our port operations and across Tasmania.

Street Performance

TasPorts Street Performance Program at the Port of Hobart aims to create more vibrant and appealing public spaces along Franklin Wharf by providing local musicians and artists with a free and safe place to perform.
