The Pacific Adventure marked both the beginning and end of this year's Tasmanian cruise season.
As P&O Australia's newest and largest ship, we first welcomed her to Tasmania in October as the first of our 2023-24 visiting cruise lines, and as she left the Port of Hobart yesterday evening, it marked the conclusion of a very successful cruise season.
Tasmania welcomed over 140 cruise ships, 248,000 passengers and nearly 119,000 crew to the state, supporting local business and our economy.
Planning is now underway for the 2024-25 season, starting in late October, where a total of 136 vessels are expected to visit Tasmania. The itinerary, published on our website, shows that 85 visits are scheduled for Hobart, 20 for Port Arthur and 18 for Burnie.
A further eight visits are planned for Coles Bay, two for Bell Bay and two for King Island.
The vessels are expected to bring more than 240,000 passengers and nearly 105,000 crew members.
The 2024-25 season will start on 28 October 2024 with the arrival of the Crown Princess at the Port of Hobart.
