In addition to featuring a distinctive TasPorts building in the program, Open House Hobart has been awarded a Grant through the TasPorts Community Grant Program, securing financial and in-kind assistance for their unique annual program.

Open House Hobart is a free annual architecture program offering people the opportunity to explore some of Tasmania’s more unique and interesting buildings, including private homes and historic buildings in Hobart.

TasPorts invites you to tour the iconic Port Tower as part of this year's Open House Hobart program.

Rising above Hunter Street, the Port Tower was designed to provide unobstructed views of all shipping activities within the River Derwent. Opened in 1987, the tower office sits 36m above sea level and maintains much of its original 1980s interior.

TasPorts is excited to share with the Tasmanian community the inner workings and storied history of the Port of Hobart. This provides a valuable glimpse into the day-to-day operations that connect people, products and solutions for the benefit of all Tasmanians.

Event registrations open at 10am on Thursday, 19 October. To get all the details and secure your spot, visit the Open House Hobart website.
