Through Our Eyes: A Woman’s Place is in Antarctica, shines a light on the extraordinary contributions of women in the southernmost continent. This powerful collaboration between Australia and France celebrates the unique perspectives of women working in the Antarctic.
Developed by the Antarctic Women’s Network, the exhibition offers a unique perspective on Antarctica, highlighting the experiences, challenges and triumphs of women who have explored, researched and contributed to our understanding of this extraordinary continent. The exhibition aims to inspire and educate visitors about the vital role women play in scientific discovery and environmental stewardship.
“This exhibition invites audiences to experience Antarctica through the eyes of women, demonstrating that a woman’s place is undeniably in this extraordinary continent,” said Artistic Director D. Miranda Nieboer.
Through Our Eyes is on display throughout August at the Bond Store Gallery, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, as part of the Beaker Street and Australian Antarctic Festivals.
TasPorts is a proud to support the Antarctic Women’s Network, a sub-committee under the Tasmanian Polar Network.
