Returning in 2025 with a refreshed program, the Awards will feature 10 contemporary categories, including: Skilled Trade Excellence, Exceptional Food and Beverage, Access and Inclusion, Professional Services, the Geraldine Sheehan Women in Business Trailblazer, and the always-popular People’s Choice Award.

DCCI President, Claire Connelly, said the Awards were an important opportunity to shine a light on the region’s businesses.

“The Awards showcase the diversity and strength of our local enterprise while fostering pride, visibility, and collaboration across Devonport and surrounding areas.

“We encourage businesses of all sizes and sectors to get involved,” Ms Connelly said.

TasPorts Chief Financial Officer, Dominic Townsend, said TasPorts is proud to support the Awards and the positive impact they create for the community.

“I am very pleased to see the Business Excellence Awards celebrate the incredible diversity of businesses across Devonport,” Mr Townsend said.

“As an advocate for Tasmania’s export industry, TasPorts is committed to supporting the Awards and celebrating all nominees and winners. These businesses are the backbone of our regional economy, and their success contributes to a stronger Tasmania for all.”

The Port of Devonport plays a vital role in supporting the region’s prosperity; facilitating the movement of more than three million tonnes of freight each year and connecting thousands of passengers and vehicles between Tasmania and the mainland.

The Awards will culminate in a black-tie gala at the paranaple Convention Centre on 15 November, bringing together more than 150 businesses, innovators, and community leaders for a night of celebration and recognition.
