Tim Parsons, co-owner of Curringa Farm, continues a family tradition of welcoming cruise ship passengers to Tasmania that dates back to the early 19th century. His ancestor, an officer stationed on Sarah Island, provided hospitality to visitors arriving by sea.

Curringa Farm offers luxurious accommodation and unique experiences to tourists, contributing to the region's thriving cruise tourism industry.

Represented by Cruise Manager, Brendan Cruise and Senior Commercial Manager (Customer Engagement), Kristy Little, TasPorts took part in the 2024-25 Cruise Season Industry Briefing at Wrest Point, Hobart.

The briefing provided a positive outlook for the industry, highlighting in particular, Hobart's growing popularity as a cruise destination. TasPorts is well-prepared for the upcoming season, which begins on Monday 28 October with the arrival of the Crown Princess.

Over 130 vessel visits are expected to our state's ports throughout the season.
