TasPorts is delighted to welcome Linda Karlsson to TasPorts as our 2024 Intern Director, taking over from Laura Jacques, 2023 Intern Director.

Each year, TasPorts’ Intern Director Program offers aspiring Non-Executive Directors the opportunity to gain corporate board experience while being mentored by experienced directors.

‘To provide emerging business leaders with hands-on governance experience, TasPorts first established its Intern Director initiative in 2017,’ said TasPorts Chair, Stephen Bradford.

‘Linda is a proven collaborator and communicator whose work centres around social impact and inclusivity. With her background in anthropology, equality and diversity management, we look forward to the fresh perspectives she will bring.’

‘On behalf of the Board and all at TasPorts,’ said Mr Bradford, ‘we wish to thank Laura for her valued contribution during 2023, and warmly welcome Linda to TasPorts – it’s great to have you on board!’

Through TasPorts’ annual program, an Intern Director gains experience in providing strategic direction and effective oversight of management, with the Chair as a mentor providing one-on-one guidance throughout the duration of the internship.

Now in its seventh year, the TasPorts Intern Director program, is aligned with and demonstrates our commitment to the Tasmanian Government’s Women on Boards Strategy.
